And, finally, my book is out!

It’s called Godô dança. Godô is short for Godofredo and dança means dances. It’s a children’s book. The story is about dog considered to be lame and boring until we discover that it… dances! Dança is the first book of at least ten, each about a different action, such as cooking, spying, etc.

The godofredo.org site (portuguese only) has a blog about animals, activities pdfs, a glossary of terms used in the book and a gallery section with photos and/or artwork from readers.

The book is already distributed nationwide (Brazil) and can be found in all the major bookstores.

Its ISBN is 978-85-204-3103-0 and the publisher is Editora Manole.

Both story and illustrations (and design) are mine.

The illustrations are vector over acrylic paint and/or china ink.

Lagartixa (gecko, in portuguese) is my other portfolio.

I’ve always thought that this practice of publishing one’s portfolio in one’s portfolio site was very strange and awkward. However, I’ve decided to register the different designs it will most certainly have (I treat my personal sites as a kind of design playground).

This last (march, 2009) version was designed as to have a visual identity with my other sites.

Well, I guess it’s the third version…

I’ve played around with it so much I’m not sure which version is this.

My personal site in portuguese, Vigna-Marú, is online since december 27^th, 2001 (CMS only from 2002 on).

It had so many different designs that I’ve just stoped counting, to be honest.

Aguarrás was born as a personal project. Today it is an online scientific art magazine (ISSN 1980-7767) with important writers and collaborators.
